More about the Home Paternity Test
The ‘peace of mind’ paternity test is offered at $279.00 and can be done in the comfort of your own home using an ‘at home’ kit. This is the most commonly done paternity test as most people simply want to eliminate doubts they have regarding paternity and are not under such circumstances considering legal action of any sorts. The test can also be done without the need for the sample of the mother, although we always recommend that it is included where available.
Given this, you can do the at-home test with results in just 5-7 working days. You can also take advantage of our Express paternity DNA testing option should you require your results in just 3 working days.
Collecting samples is a very easy and uncomplicated. However, there are a number of steps involved and thus, we recommend you consults our section on How to Collect your DNA Samples to get a good grasp of how the sampling is done for your paternity test.
Please note that the home paternity test is not court admissible as is done at home without any third party overlooking the people involved in the testing and making sure there is no attempt to cheat or contaminate samples.

How is the DNA paternity test done?
In a paternity DNA test is done using a sterile oral swab. Once you have placed your order we will send you a kit with all the necessary paperwork, instructions and swabs. You will be responsible for collecting your own samples by rubbing the swabs into the mouths of the interested parties and sending them back to us in a ‘peace of mind’ paternity test. If you choose to do a legal paternity DNA test the DNA collection procedure is different and you will not be allowed to collect your own samples. Please refer to our section on Legal Paternity DNA Testing.
How we Work Out Your Paternity testing results
All our tests are highly accurate and analyze a total of sixteen genetic markers on the DNA samples you provide us with. We must remember that any child inherits 50% of his or her genetic material from each parent. This fact is crucial to the DNA testing process. What our partner laboratories analyze is how many genetic markers out of the 16 tested are shared between the alleged father and the child. For an inclusion of paternity of 99.99% with mother’s samples, we would expect all genetic markers to match between father and child. If the tested father is not the child’s biological father then the inclusion will read 0%.
